Dear Valued Patients,

I would like to take this opportunity to re-introduce myself to many of you. My name is Dr. Anthony Gardiner and it has been my privilege to be working with many of you in Dr. Richard V. Tucker’s dental practice. It has been exciting to come back to Ferndale and be part of the community again. Below is a brief background about myself.

I was born at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bellingham, grew up in Ferndale, and graduated from Ferndale High in 2002. I continued on to the University of Washington where I obtained my undergraduate degree and then my Doctorate of Dental Surgery from UW’s School of Dentistry. During dental school, I was mentored by many dentists, including Dr. Richard D. Tucker. After 9 years of living in Seattle, I am glad to be back in Ferndale with my wife Shannon and 10-week-old daughter Khloe! It is nice to have our roots set and practicing my profession.

There has been a long standing Tucker-Gardiner connection as Bill and Shirley Gardiner lived with Dr. Tucker and Elaine when they first came to Ferndale and continued to be good friends thereafter. At that time Bill, my grandfather, was the only lawyer in town and Dr. Tucker the only dentist. As it would happen, my father Allen Gardiner, was classmates and good friends with Richard D. Tucker, Dr. Tucker’s only son. They grew up together through boy scouts, skiing, and even sailing in a race to Maui. Dr. Tucker and I can both recall seeing each other on Sundays at Church, never knowing we would someday practice dentistry together.

Now, after a year and a half of working in the practice, Dr. Tucker and I continue to work together. He has been very gracious in providing patients his confidence in my knowledge, professionalism, and pursuit for fine quality dentistry. For his entire career Dr. Tucker has provided you with excellence in dentistry. My goal is to continue the pursuit of that high quality dental care. In effort to achieve that I have had the opportunity to join two dental study clubs, the Robert L. Bruna Dental Seminar and the #3 RVT Cast Gold Study Club. Both allow me the opportunity to discuss treatment with other dentists and focus on quality dentistry.

Dr. Tucker’s ability to practice with such longevity for the last 65 years is truly amazing. Over that time he has also developed friendships with many of you and I hope that Dr. Tucker’s trust in having me take care of his patients and friends should provide you with reassurance. It has been and will continue to be my privilege and pleasure to be part of this practice. Dr. Tucker and I look forward to seeing you in 2013!

Sincerely,

Anthony A. Gardiner DDS
